Giwa network guide
Get started on Giwa Sepolia.
Add the Giwa test network to your wallet, find test ETH and check your transactions. These are the network details used by Floor1’s private development app.

Giwa Sepolia is a test network
Giwa Sepolia is an Ethereum Layer 2 testnet connected to Ethereum Sepolia. They are separate networks: an Ethereum Sepolia balance does not automatically appear on Giwa Sepolia. The ETH used here is for testing, not mainnet ETH.
Giwa’s official network documentation currently describes mainnet as under development. Floor1’s public launch is also coming soon; setting up a wallet does not unlock the private app.
1. Add the network to your wallet
In an Ethereum-compatible wallet that supports custom networks, open the network settings and choose the option to add a network manually. Enter the following values, then save and select GIWA Sepolia.
For MetaMask, Giwa also documents an add-network option at the bottom of its block explorer. Check the chain ID in the wallet prompt before approving. The public RPC is rate limited; it is intended for testing, not production app traffic.
2. Get test ETH from a faucet
Open the official Giwa faucet and follow its current requirements to request test ETH for your public wallet address. Claim limits and availability can change; use the values shown by the faucet rather than assuming a fixed allowance.
Giwa’s faucet documentation also lists an alternative provider. A faucet needs your public address, never your recovery phrase or private key. You do not need to buy mainnet ETH to use a free testnet faucet.

3. Check the network and transaction
- Confirm your wallet has GIWA Sepolia selected and shows chain ID 91342.
- After a faucet claim or test transaction, open the Giwa Sepolia explorer.
- Search for your public address to check the balance, or a transaction hash to inspect its status.
A pending wallet prompt is not a confirmed transaction. If nothing appears in the explorer, first check that you are searching on the same network used by the wallet.
If something does not work
- No balance: check Giwa Sepolia, not Ethereum Sepolia or Ethereum mainnet, and check the faucet’s result.
- RPC unavailable: the public endpoint may be rate limited. Retry later and verify the current endpoint in Giwa’s official docs.
- Floor1 asks for a password: that is the current access requirement. Wallet setup does not change it.
- Someone offers a “Giwa mainnet” RPC or bridge: Giwa’s docs describe mainnet as still under development. Read our Giwa scam safety guide before adding any network.
Where Floor1 fits
Floor1 is a memecoin launchpad being built for Giwa. Its development app uses the test network described here. Read about Floor1 and its current availability before trying the private app.
